Despite being injured, I am moving for the sake of the nature I love so much. If you too care about the climate, let’s move together! Learn more about my Birthday challenge below

A Birthday Mission
Around my Birthday I love to do something meaningful, in the form of a mountain project or a fund raising project for a cause I care about. This year is a big one. I round up numbers.
I had a big mountain project in mind, something meaningful for me. If you want to give Gods a good laugh, make plans, they say. This has been true a lot in my life and even more so in the past couple of years. However, I have learned to adapt...
However, I have learned to adapt.
About 15 years ago I would fill the hallway with bags sorting the trash. There was no organized way to recycle and I was doing my own thing, researching collection points, gathering the trash and walking even 20 minutes with the heavy bags to recycle them. Nobody cared, my boyfriend was laughing at my futile efforts and there was nothing glamorous in doing something for the environment. I cared when very little people cared. I carried those bags every week, without social media and applauses.
Times have changed and now climate change is part of our lives. Nobody can deny the impact that years of careless behaviors has on the environment and the climate. As a mountain lover and a guide, I see it every day and it breaks my heart. Now more people care, now sorting your trash is easy and you have it at your doorsteps (and you sometimes still don’t do it!) not organizations work actively to salvage what it can be salvaged.
The high impact climate opportunities are funded through the Giving Green Fund – for which we are raising funds this week via the Climate Challenge Relay!
The one activity I can do, even injured, is to cycle. Therefore, my little birthday project is to cycle 400km (1% of once around the world) and to raise 1000 EUR. If you care about the climate- take part – donate, get moving, raise funds yourself. If you don’t care, but you want to offer me a smile for my Birthday, or you just like me: just donate. Every Euro counts! And really, 10 Euros is like 2 coffees! Let’s GO!
